About Macedonia Tours
Macedonia Tours is a tours agency offering an array of exiting adventure and culinary tours to incoming tourist in the Republic of Macedonia. Our tours combine adventure, local cuisine, history and the best natural and cultural spots Macedonia has to offer.
Please explain your Novice, Intermediate & Extreme rating
Novice - Means that this can be the first time you partake in the selected activity. You do not need any level of fitness, just enthusiasm.
Intermediate - Means you are already active and have a good fitness level. You would participate in sport or other exercise and be generally healthy. The intermediate rating would imply that you have performed your activity type before and you are not completely new to it.
Extreme - This difficulty is only for experienced participants who have a good understanding of the activity type and are ready for an adrenalin pumping experience. We combine an adrenaline experience with the best natural and cultural experiences Macedonia has to offer.
I am not very fit, is there something for me?
Our novice difficulty activities cater for any adventure seeking first timers with a minimal fitness level. We have Wine tours, hiking, mountain biking and paragliding activities available for the leisurely soul.
How does the booking process work?
Bookings are made through the individual tour page you wish to book, on the website. Simply find the tour/activity through our search function, then click BOOK NOW.
You will then need to select your tour/activity date, choose any item you may wish to hire, select how many people will accompany you and finally checkout and pay for your package.
After submitting your booking on our website, a travel consultant will review the booking details and send you a confirmation email within 12 hours.
How can I pay for my booking?
We accept payments from all major credit cards and paypal. Our website is completely secure and we have firewalls in place to make sure all payments are safe.
What if I need to change or cancel my tour?
If you wish to cancel or change a tour, please contact us immediately. We require written notice (by email) regarding any cancellations or changes to your tour. Our ability to change your tour will depend on the availability of your proffered new tour.
Macedonia Tours is obliged to charge customers a cancellation fee at a percentage of the full price of the tour, as outlined below:
Notice of cancellation – Individual customers
More than two weeks prior to arrival: 20%
Less than two weeks prior to arrival: 50%
Less than 72 hours prior to arrival: 100%
Notice of cancellation – Groups (6 or More)
More than four weeks prior to arrival: 20%
Less than four weeks prior to arrival: 50%
Less than 72 hours prior to arrival: 100%
There are no fees for changing bookings, however this is dependent on their availability. Please outline wish tour/activity you wish to change to.
How far in advance should I book?
Please book as soon as you wish to do the tour, this will give us plenty of time to make all of the nessecary arrangements. Single and overnight tours can be arrange one day before, however this depends on our schedule, availability and the weather.
What if a tour/activity is cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions?
We will offer you an alternative activity of equal or greater value. If there are no such activities available on the day you will be provided a full refund.
You are required to have travel insurance before commencing your tour with us. We offer some forms of travel insurance if you have none.
Whilst our payments are in Euros, the local currency is the Macedonian Denar.
Once in Macedonia you can withdraw money from a local ATM, which are numerous or exchange your money in an exchange office which are also everywhere.
